Cheonghaejin Hanok is a “hanok” pension located in Wando-gun, South Jeolla Province. Furnished with elegant roof tiles, all rooms face the sea, bringing the beautiful view of Dadohae to one’s windows. The rooms are named after Wando’s islands, such as Cheongsando and Bogildo. There are 5 Korean-style rooms for 2–3 people and an independent annex that can accommodate up to 15 people. Among the rooms, the Bigyeondo room offers the most faithful hanok experience. Opening the three windows shows guests a panorama of the hanok and the blue seas. Deogudo, a two-person room, uses traditional wood-fired red clay and “gudeul” heating, which gives the room the characteristic warmth of a hanok in winter. All rooms also come with terraces facing the ocean and barbeque facilities. More importantly, this symbolizes the owner’s dedication to providing a comfortable place for relaxation and healing. Outdoor pools, walking trails, and vegetable gardens give families with children great opportunities for family activities. Guests can also reserve a special breakfast of abalone rice porridge before their stay at about KRW 10,000–12,000 per person. The pension offers fried eggs and milk free of charge. Wando’s major tourist sights, such as Wando Arboretum and Wando Tower, are located 15–20 min away by car.
